Do you love the summer but are afraid of how fast the time is flying by?
Wondering where the time has gone...
And bracing yourself for a too-soon September...
It doesn’t have to be that way.
There’s nothing intrinsic about becoming older and time needing to race by. It’s about the mind, not the body.
Believe it or not, this is the perfect opportunity to talk about meditating to your soul.
The! Perfect! Moment!
If you want to make time s l o o o o w down, then you’ll need to get out of your head.
✶
When you were little, it felt like it took forever for the holidays to come. Remember? Your birthday. Halloween. Time was glacial.
Your awareness was wide and deep and effortlessly resting in the present moment.
You hadn’t yet developed the thinking habit.
You had soul consciousness. Too bad there were no adults around you to help you retain it. Anyway...
✶
Fast-forward to now and you want out of time’s race car.
No problem at all!
Just take a little of your, ahem, time every day—that you won’t even notice is missing—and close your eyes.
Go inward. Just 2-3x a day for 15-20 minutes a pop. Or once a day for 45 minutes. That’s it. Nothing crazy here.
The point is that you give yourself a space to let the stress of the nervous system burn off. You let your mind settle into the stillness of your soul. Here there’s no clock time—the soul is timeless. Your being actually loves this. It feels so good to let go.
✶
What about the results? Does it really work?
Well, you’ll be the only one in your friend group who will be remarking about past events, “Wow, that felt like such a long time ago.” It’ll be comical how you’ll hear yourself say this.
Amazingly, the best part is not that time will feel like it’s starting to slow again. Oh no.
The best part is that you will notice so many side benefits!
Transformation is the only possible outcome of reconnecting with the stillness of your soul.
I cannot wait to see the soul’s peace in you.
