Mind-body hack #1 – Emotions

Recalling from last post that...

Awareness loves being aware

When you step back in your mind and observe the whole mind, you give awareness what it wants.

Whoops!

What’s this?

Awful thoughts?  Physical pain?  Emotional pain?

Notice how you don’t want to be aware of... those things... within you.

Their presence doesn’t mean anything is wrong, or meditation isn’t working.

Not at all.  Rather the trick is to adopt an attitude that makes it acceptable that those things exist and are present.

And then commit to choosing for your meditation training instead of pushing those things away.  Or stuffing them down.

Always choose again. 

Because I want you to see that if you do, if you fully commit to transforming your consciousness first with the power of appreciationgratitude, and love, then the body-mind will transform faster than you remember being possible. 

Key attitudes to take to heart:

   accepting
   allowing

Turns out that the flip side also works too:

   doesn’t matter
   don’t care that it’s there

Lean into these attitudes and see if how much freer you feel and how faster it all transforms.
